Cutting the Gordian Knot
In 344 B.C., Alexander the Great launched an expedition to the east, and on his way, he dropped by the city of Phrygia. Gordius, the king of Phrygia, was a wide man, and gave Alexander a difficult problem which no one had been able to solve. There was a cart which was tied to one of the palace’s pillars with a piece of rope, and a legend promised if Alexander could undo it, all parts of Asia would be under his control. Nobody could have gotten the knot untied before since it was too intricate, but to everybody’s surprise, Alexander drew his sword and cut the knot with it. After that, as the legend promised him, he went on his expedition and conquered Asia.
Generally, this story is interpreted as it is; you can solve a difficult problem by bold, determined action, and this is the origin of an English expression: cut the Gordian knot. However, the mother of Erich Kastner, a German writer, had a different point of view. In one of Kastner’s essays, he wrote his mother used to say ropes were not to cut, but to use, and if there was a knot on it, you had to work on undoing it with patience. In these words, Kastner found another lesson of the Gordian knot. It might be much quicker and easier to settle a problematic situation if you use your power or even violence. Nevertheless, it is just a contemporary solution, and it does not get rid of the prime cause of the problem.
The daring exploits of Alexander the Great have been told for hundreds of years, but only ten years after he cut the Gordian knot in Phrygia, he passed away, and the kingdom he built up in his bold, determined way simply fell into decline. Destruction cannot be a solution to any problem or conflict. If you cut a knot, what will become of the knot? It still remains, and what’s more, ropes which are cut up can never be connected without another knot. Violence and wars. Revenge and hatred. Come to think of it, many of the problems we have now might have come from Gordian knots we could not, or rather, did not undo.

Your DNA is Sweet
He says, "your DNA is sweet." Oh, now I have to take my remark back; school is fun, or even better :):):)

Lost Cause
"Lost Cause"
I had known
what the word meant
long before you told me so
I'd have fought for the "lost cause" though...

HoppĂpolla
Hoppipolla means jumping in puddles in Icelandic.

Everything turned out to be a laughing matter when I realized (like this afternoon...haha) that I'm different from who I was 6 months ago, or specifically, around the day my ex-boyfriend, with his sad smile on his face, said "happy birthday" to me in the dirty little kitchen lightened by late-afternoon summer sun beams. That night, he told me that we should break up.
I, or I should say we, have been like kids in grown-up bodies. Two little kids acting in a love story with serious faces, sometimes hiding and sometimes pouring out their emotions. It's so funny and...more than that, quite adorable, isn't it? Still I say I "love" him with my girlish side on, but I think it's about time to stop acting on this stage and leave this exclusive showcase (well, he's been off the stage since a long time ago, I suppose). The real world is just out there, in which things are hopelessly out of hand and beautifully messed up.
This is not about moving on to the next step; I just realized we can't stop changing. It's both good and bad. We'll never know or we already know which one the change could be, but in any case, the fact that nothing stays as it has been can destroy you, or more importantly, save you. So why don't we just laugh exaggerated worries out till they get swept away from our mind? We are just as we are now, and there's no point in sticking to what we "used to" be.
And here is a personal note for you;
by the time I get to see you again, you are someone different from who I used to know, who I used to love, and who I still love. But do you know what I'm going to say? I'll ask your name and say, "it's nice to meet you." So think about your lines that follow it, OK? Then we'll start our new story all over again (doesn't need to be a love story on the same old stage, of course).
No matter how much you change, you are always my love with his sweetest smile on the face, jumping in puddles in my memory.

Incomplete
I'm not a patient kind, so I can't concentrate on one thing for long. Almost all of my doodles are incomplete. But maybe it's complete. Completeness is "in" "complete" forms...haha. I finished this one by the way! Before drawing on the photo-copied Bjork, I promised myself. "I'M GONNA FINISH THIS WORK!" ...and I did. Power of will! :)

Meaning of Being Mean
Twitch
I'm an emotional person, and it's not always positive. Despite so many mistakes made till today, my temper still gets me so easily and my behavior goes extreme. My wish upon a star is "I want to stay clam always and live peacefully," but it seems like almost impossible. Yet...it's getting better, I believe. The-"Pushing Daisies"-watching yesterday must be working perfectly. Love the TV show:):)
No photo-editing btw.

Happy New Year<3
Wooooooow! It's been a while since the last update. Having a mixi account and knowing nobody would give a shit to my life have been greatly encouraging me to stay away from this blog. Anyway I wish a happy new year to whoever got a fortune to read this post. Lucky you!...for no reason. Well! Maybe you really are because you can see what the new year's day is like in Japan. Full of Japanese sense of beauty! Yeahhhhh:):)
